Over Half Of New Cancer Drugs ‘Show No Benefits’ For Survival Or Wellbeing

NEWS

Of 48 cancer drugs approved between 2009-2013, 57% of uses showed no benefits and some benefits were ‘clinically meaningless’, says a study published in the British Medical Journal.

COMMENT

It is of course hardly surprising that over half of cancer drugs examined in this study showed no benefits. Nor either is it remarkable that some of the benefits claimed for these drugs are clinically meaningless.

The fact is that studies carried out to supposedly prove the efficacy of the pharmaceutical industry’s drugs are habitually rigged. Were this not the case, the lack of benefits and high toxicity of cancer drugs would clearly prevent them getting regulatory approval.
