Drug companies have come under fire for allegedly using a crackdown on codeine sales as an opportunity to market stronger painkillers to doctors.

Painkillers are arguably the perfect example of drugs that are deliberately designed to treat the symptoms of health problems while ignoring their root causes. Tragically, the dangers of many of these drugs are widely underestimated even by physicians. As such, with America’s opioid addiction crisis now killing over 63,000 citizens a year and still showing no sign of abating, it is time to treat the Pharma Cartel like the Tobacco Cartel and hold it responsible for these deaths.
