US senators question cancer drug’s 1,400% price rise

NEWS

A bipartisan group of US senators has asked the head of a pharmaceutical company why the cost of a 40-year-old cancer drug has risen 1,400 percent over the last four years.

COMMENT

As a result of this type of outrageous profiteering, the Pharma Cartel now makes more money from cancer than any other health problem. Illustrating the astonishing extent to which cancer treatment costs have risen, a study published in JAMA Oncology in 2016 examined 32 cancer drugs given in pill form and found that their launch prices had grown dramatically over the past 14 years. From an average monthly cost of under $2,000 in 2000, launch prices had risen to a staggering $11,325 by 2014.

Fortunately, therefore, increasing numbers of cancer patients are learning that victory over cancer is possible through the use of natural approaches. Choosing to turn their backs on drug-based treatments, they are taking their own decisions about what is best for themselves and their health. Having found the courage to say “No” to the systematic poisoning of their bodies with chemotherapy and other toxic oncology drugs, their recoveries provide living proof that a diagnosis of cancer need no longer be a death sentence. Ultimately, the more people who become active in sharing the truth about cancer, the sooner this disease – and the immoral greed of the pharmaceutical investment business that thrives on it – will finally be brought to an end.
