National Health Service In England To Offer Leukemia Treatment Costing $361,750 Per Patient

Health authorities in England have agreed to make a leukemia treatment with a colossal price tag of $361,750 per patient available for children.

Predictably being hyped as a so-called ‘wonder drug’ by the British media, the fact is that, just as with other pharma treatments for leukemia, this latest therapy fails to address the primary cause of the disease. This is entirely intentional, of course, as cancer is a cash cow for the pharma industry. Drugs for cancer are pharma’s largest business sector, earning it around $80 billion a year. This income is the only reason why cancer remains a death verdict for over 8 million people worldwide every year.
