One of Britain’s leading scientists says the case for everyone taking vitamin D supplements is now overwhelming.
COMMENT
Vitamin D deficiency is now a major public health concern. In recent years, a lack of this essential micronutrient has been linked to an increased risk of diabetes, metabolic syndrome, miscarriage, depression, schizophrenia, multiple sclerosis, and many other problems.
Further confirming its importance for our health, additional research has found vitamin D can help lower the risk of cancer, protect against severe asthma attacks, lower the risk of death in people with heart disease, prevent heart failure after a heart attack, reduce symptoms of psoriasis and eczema, cut migraine attacks, and maximize athletic performance.
As important as it is, however, we need to understand that vitamin D is only one of many essential micronutrients that are vital for our health. This is why, rather than concentrating on so-called ‘mega-doses’ of individual micronutrients, Dr. Rath’s Cellular Medicine approach focuses on the use of synergistic combinations of micronutrients applied in carefully balanced amounts.
To read how Dr. Rath’s groundbreaking scientific discoveries have shown that the primary cause of today’s most common chronic diseases is a long-term deficiency of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other specific nutrients, see this page on our website.
