In a damning indictment of the dangers of cancer drugs, a study published in 2016 by researchers in the UK found that, in some hospitals, within 30 days of starting treatment, chemotherapy kills up to 50 per cent of patients who receive it. Using data from a full 12-month period in 2014, the study included 23,228 patients with breast cancer and 9,634 patients with non-small cell lung cancer, all of whom were 24 years of age or older. While death rates varied across different regions of the UK, the study clearly showed that chemotherapy, as opposed to the cancer itself, was killing hundreds of patients within 30 days of treatment commencing.

Research also shows that, far from curing patients, chemotherapy actually encourages the spread of cancer. In a study published in the Nature Cell Biology journal in 2019, researchers looked at two commonly used chemotherapy drugs, paclitaxel and doxorubicin, and examined how breast cancer cells respond to them. Confirming what other studies have reported for years now, the researchers found that use of this extremely toxic class of drugs can trigger the onset of new tumors in other parts of the body.
