An Australian-led resolution passed at this year’s annual meeting of the World Health Assembly (WHA) called for an independent, impartial investigation into the global response to the coronavirus pandemic. The decision-making body for the World Health Organization (WHO), the WHA held its meeting virtually this year with only a small number of officials present at the WHO headquarters in Geneva. Given however the vast amount of funding the WHO now receives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – an organization with close links to the pharma industry – the likelihood that its coronavirus investigation will be either fully independent or impartial is close to zero.
Significantly, therefore, Professor Luc Montagnier, the French scientist who shared the 2008 Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), stated in April 2020 that the coronavirus was created in a laboratory. Interviewed on the CNews channel in France, Montagnier openly asserted the virus had been designed by molecular biologists. Stating that it contains genetic elements of HIV, he insisted its characteristics could not have arisen naturally.
