Even prior to this study it was already well known that chemotherapy treatment causes cognitive decline. A study published in 2018 by researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, specifically confirmed that cancer patients can experience cognitive impairment after being treated with the drugs.

Far from being an effective treatment for the disease, research also shows that chemotherapy actually encourages the spread of cancer. A study published by an international team of scientists in 2019 looked at two commonly used chemotherapy drugs and examined how cancer cells respond to them. Confirming what other studies have reported for years now, the researchers found that use of this extremely toxic class of drugs can trigger the onset of new tumors in other parts of the body.

Worse still, research carried out in the UK has found that, in some hospitals, within 30 days of starting treatment, chemotherapy is killing up to 50 per cent of patients who receive it.
