Romania’s Most Famous Football Team Announces Ban On Players Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Predictably, of course, after making this announcement, Gigi Becali, the owner of Steaua Bucharest, was widely attacked in the mainstream media. While the club later denied that players vaccinated against COVID-19 would be banned from playing for them, around the world there is growing concern over the health risks faced by athletes who submit to the injections.

Since the launch of the global COVID-19 vaccination campaign there has been a surge of sports people suffering sudden health issues and death. The notb-sports.org website documents hundreds of examples, with new ones coming to light all the time. Some of these incidents are not so easily dismissed.

On 30 June, 2021, for example, two days prior to a women’s international cricket match against Pakistan, Cricket West Indies announced that its entire team and management had been vaccinated against COVID-19. Two days later, with the match underway, West Indies players Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation collapsed on the field within ten minutes of each other and were quickly rushed to hospital. While both women fortunately recovered and subsequently rejoined the squad, the dramatic incident has inevitably given rise to speculation over whether it may have resulted from the vaccinations the team received.
