Despite the repeated claims that the COVID-19 pandemic began in a Wuhan market, scientists have been unable to identify which animal there supposedly spread the virus to humans. Moreover, the idea that the lab-origin theory is wrong presupposes that a novel bat coronavirus somehow managed to originate just 400 yards from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which studies such viruses. This is, at the very least, an incredible coincidence.
There is also the fact that three scientists working at the Wuhan lab fell ill with COVID-like symptoms in late 2019 while conducting so-called ‘gain of function’ research with bat coronaviruses. Such experiments involve enhancing the ability of dangerous animal viruses to infect human beings. The illness of these three scientists has yet to be fully explained.
Despite these and other outstanding questions, the mainstream media appears to be reporting these latest studies as if the lab-origin theory can essentially now be ruled out. But with little or no attempt being made to address the inconsistencies in the Wuhan market story, the pandemic’s origins remain far from settled.
