In an undercover video recently filmed by Project Veritas, Pfizer director Jordon Triston Walker claimed that, in order to preempt the development of future vaccines, his company was exploring a way to “mutate” the virus responsible for COVID-19 via so-called “directed evolution.” Saying he suspected this was how the virus started in Wuhan, China, Walker admitted it “makes no sense” that it “popped out of nowhere.”
Responding to the video a few days later, Pfizer issued a press release in which, while denying it had conducted so-called gain-of-function or directed evolution experiments, it admitted it had “engineered” viruses in laboratory tests. Significantly, however, while the press release made no specific mention of Walker, nor either did it deny that he was employed by the company.
