Tests indicate that around 70 percent of fresh fruit and vegetables sold in the United States contain residues of pesticides, even after the produce has been washed. This reflects the fact that if fruits and vegetables are sprayed with pesticides while they are growing, washing them cannot completely remove the chemicals. By the time the produce is harvested, pesticides are not only present on the outer skin, they are present throughout the food. Across the world, governments and regulators are deliberately misleading us about this.

As dangerous as these chemicals are, however, the primary cause of prostate cancer is micronutrient deficiency. Significantly, therefore, research shows that vitamin D supplements can slow down or even reverse the development of this disease. Supplements containing green tea extract have similarly shown promise in preventing it. Research suggests that men diagnosed with prostate cancer can further boost their chances of survival by switching to a micronutrient-rich plant-based diet.

To learn more about the use of micronutrients in the prevention and control of prostate cancer, see this article on our website.
