Vast Majority Of People Dying From COVID-19 In England & Wales Had Underlying Health Problems

Data from the UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that the vast majority of people dying from COVID-19 in England and Wales have had underlying health problems. Of 152,872 deaths recorded within 28 days of a positive test since the start of the pandemic, only 17,371 were attributed solely to the coronavirus.
