Study Shows Vitamin D Supplements Protect Against Severe Asthma Attacks

A new study suggests asthma patients could halve their risk of suffering a severe attack simply by taking a vitamin D supplement.

COMMENT

While evidence certainly suggests that vitamin D can help reduce the risk of severe asthma attacks in patients, the most effective form of natural prevention and treatment for this health problem involves the use of carefully designed combinations of micronutrients.

In a pilot study carried out by researchers at the Dr. Rath Research Institute, a targeted combination of micronutrients was given to asthma patients aged between 45 and 75 years old.
