Movement of Life

The Movement of Life is a non-profit movement coordinated by the Dr. Rath Health Foundation that focuses on encouraging people to create lifechanging pilot projects in areas such as health and nutrition.

Countries in which we have been running these projects include Uganda, Malawi, and Ghana. We are currently working on a project in Zimbabwe. Involving distributing gardening tools, growing vegetables and fruit trees in schools and communities, as well as teaching children and adults about nutritional and Cellular Medicine, the Movement of Life is spreading a message of health and hope to some of the world's poorest people.

Experience has taught us that if approached in the right way, even some of the most intractable problems faced in developing countries are solvable. In Zimbabwe, for example, we have helped to reduce drought and crop failure by setting up water boreholes. As a result, with their crops no longer failing, many community members are aiming to achieve sufficiently large harvests that some of their produce can be sold, thus helping to take them out of poverty. This will ultimately enable more parents to pay the necessary fees to enable their children to attend school.

Feedback tells us that the Movement of Life is instilling a new sense of self-belief and confidence in the families taking part in these projects. Poverty and malnutrition are rife in Zimbabwe, for example, with many families surviving on just one meal a day. In schoolchildren, malnutrition is a common cause of absenteeism from class and poor academic performance. With the benefit of a micronutrient-rich diet, however, families can now look forward to a much brighter and prosperous future.

Setting up water boreholes, distributing gardening tools, and teaching people about nutrition and Cellular Medicine has the potential to dramatically transform the African continent, not just from the perspective of health but also economically. We invite you to visit the Movement of Life website and consider becoming one of our volunteer national coordinators!
