A new study of New York City firefighters has found that exposure to 9/11 World Trade Center dust is associated with a significantly increased long-term risk of cardiovascular disease.
Firefighters attending the World Trade Center on 9/11 were exposed to large amounts of toxic dust. This would inevitably have overwhelmed their bodies’ antioxidant defense systems, depleting them of vital micronutrients. Seen in this light, their subsequent development of cardiovascular disease is consistent with Dr. Rath’s Cellular Medicine concept, which explains that the primary cause of cardiovascular disease and other chronic diseases is a long-term deficiency of vitamins, minerals, and other micronutrients.
