This has particularly been the case regarding the highly toxic drugs used to treat HIV and AIDS, which have misleadingly been promoted by celebrities as ‘lifesaving.’ When closely aligned to the promotion of pharmaceuticals, such people never make any mention of the fact that proven, effective, safe alternatives to HIV/AIDS drugs exist.
