Having enforced some of the world’s most draconian pandemic restrictions on its 5 million citizens, many of whom were subject to vaccine mandates, Jacinda Ardern, the country’s former prime minister, now has serious questions to answer.
Not least of these questions relates to Ardern’s announcement in March 2021 that, for ‘fairness,’ New Zealand would only use the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. As she claimed at the time that this decision was supposedly due to the shot’s ‘effectiveness,’ Ardern will now stand accused of applying double standards. After all, if the Pfizer vaccine was really so effective against COVID-19, why were more than more than 11,000 New Zealand healthcare workers granted exemptions from it? Had Ardern seen evidence that the shots weren’t safe?

On 15 November 2021 all healthcare workers in New Zealand – doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, midwives, and the like – were required to have had their first Covid jab. The jab mandate lasted until late September 2022. Over 11,000 workers received “12A Exemptions” during this period.
